Antique Vintage Santa Candy Container Riding Woolly Sheep Pull Toy German
Very nice Santa candy container riding a woolly sheep pull toy. Santa has composition head, hands and boots. Clothed in felt suite and hat with full rabbit fur beard and mustache. Head has little teeth and removes for candy container.
Head fits very firmly and container very clean. He hols a small feather tree and has a rope belt. Sheep has floppy wool ears and tail with red ribbon on neck and tail.
She has a composition face with painted features. Wood platform has tiny tin wheels. Santa has some vintage soiling, chips to composition on right cheek, top of left hand and boots. Tiny spot on back of coat where felt has thinned, not a hole but close to becoming one. Sheep has some vintage soiling, some paint loss to sheep and platform, tiny piece of wool missing at back of neck, front two feet partially come out of platform, and there may be some chips to composition.
Santa is 5 1/2 " H stretched out and sheep pull toy is is 5 1/4" H x 4 3/4" L x 1 3/4"W. Total height with Santa is 7 1/2 H.No markings but assume both to be German pieces. Wonderful piece to add to your collection. Use at Easter without Santa for multi functional piece. Please contact me with any questions.
