Large Antique Mohair Donkey Nodder On Wheels Germany Bobblehead Santa Christmas

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING & VIEW ALL 8 PHOTOS BEFORE PURCHASING Thank you. A gorgeous large antique paper-mache German mohair Nodding Bobblehead Donkey on wheels. The Donkey measures 11 tall to the tip of the ear. 12" in length, and just under 4" wide at the saddle. This is NOT a clockwork nodder.

This wonderful example is not marked, however it is typical German construction of the early 1900's period featuring a paper-mache head and body, wood "peg" legs, gold Japanned 2 piece metal wheels, a beautiful mohair coat with black felt accents, blue felt saddle with gold trim and a red white and blue silk belly band, glass eyes and a brown oilcloth harness with brass buttons. This Donkey is in great condition and nodding fine with wear to the harness and a small piece of harness missing over the snout.
