Nick and the horse are both candy containers. The old carriage looks like a salesman sample because of all the details it has on it including a working canopy and lanterns that once lit up. There is old wiring under the fabric to these lanterns with mica type shades.
The wheels with spokes are beautifully made. There is minor wear to the buggy, one arm to the canopy is wired together, one horn is wires on and moves sideways, the other is soldered on.
The fabric shows light staining, the dk brown fabric has replaced at the seat, and floor, just loose to see wiring. The carriage measures 10 1/2" tall x 14" long, the horse measures 9 1/2" x 7 1/2", and St Nick is 7 tall and is in very good condition, his basket has cracks and wear to one side. The horse is flocked and has has one leg glued where it cracked. I try to list all the flaws, please see photos. Santa fits perfectly into the base of the carriage, or can freely stand next to the horse.
I took photos of the canopy top closed and opened out. I did take many more photos, please ask any questions. I do not see any markings on the carriage.
