Complete set of all 8 original characters from the 1970's cartoon T. Simple cartoons with an educational message. Originally aired on Saturday morning.

Bill Cosby himself was the creator of the characters. He was the voice for himself, Fat Albert and Mushmouth. The characters mimic friends he grew up with in the hood.

The Junkyard gang was a small group of African American boys growing up in the ghettos of South Philly in the early 1970's. Excellent display condition with only mild wear. Some paint loss and imperfections can be seen. Clean with no broken parts or missing limbs. They look great for being over 45 years old. They did not have the best details when they were new. Some mild color variations and googly eyes on some. Please view all photos as they are the best part of the description.

They are all here even Lil' Bill which has become hard to find. The original gang included; "Fat Albert" Robertson, the leader, despite his size he enjoys playing sports. James "Mushmouth" Mush, Slackjaw simpleton with big lips, always in a scarf and hat, duhhh.

Dumb Donald Parker, lanky and dim-witted wears a long sleeve shirt that's way too big, patches on his knees and a pink knit hat with holes cut out for his eyes, High pitched. Bucky Miller, Big overbite and large protruding teefs, yellow shirt and shoes.

William "Bill" Cosby, Russell's older brother, clean cut, You know him, blue pants white shirt. Russel Cosby, shortest of the gang, always dressed for winter. Weird Harold Simmons, gold golf blazer and 2 different socks, weird. And Rudy Davis, sarcastic smartass that dresses like a pimp in pink and fuchsia with an orange cap.

They all were very talented musicians making instruments from the junkyard. Not flexible and no moving parts. Super cool and collectible original pieces. Please look carefully at the photos. First series with poor paint jobs was Made in Hong Kong in the 1978.
