Rare 1933 Schuco 979/8 Black Forest Girl w/Basket Wind-Up Toy Figure/Tanz-Figur. Very rare Pre-War Schuco #979/8 clockwork Black Forest Girl with Basket. Tin felt covered body with mask type face, felt hands and rattan basket with dancing wind-up mechanism. Girl is dressed in black blouse with white sleeves, red skirt, white felt underwear, flowered cotton scarf, white creamy rayon apron and large black ribbon on head.
She is holding a little rattan basket on her left arm. Made in Germany by Schuco, ca. 5 inches (12.7 cm) height. All original with very minor signs of usage especially to face and legs (see pictures). Otherwise, excellent overall condition in perfect working order.
