Rare Vintage 14 Giant Gorilla King Kong Ape Toy Action Figure! 1980s

I've had him in my personal collection for almost 20 years. He's in great shape but the battery-op feature does not seem to work.

I never actually used it, although it worked when I first got him so maybe it can be fixed, but I was more interested in having him for display.
