
Vintage "Little Leaguer Baseball Set" by Shackman, No. 3671, made in Japan, likely dating to the 1940s-1950s. This charming mid-century baseball toy set includes hand-painted metal player figures housed in the original cardboard box.
Includes original factory-tied metal figures, still secured in place as issued. The set features multiple baseball player figures in action poses, mounted on green bases, along with a catcher figure. The figures are cast metal (not plastic) and hand-painted, typical of Japanese export toys produced for the American market in the postwar period. The original box is present with lid, showing the "Little Leaguer Baseball Set" graphic.Shackman of New York was a well-known importer of novelty and toy items during this period. Condition is very good vintage condition. The figures in excellent, what appears to be unused condition.
The box has visible wear, including edge wear, creasing, and some losses, but remains intact and displays well.
