Since this toy has remained factory sealed for approximately 30 years, the original batteries inside are most likely completed depleted.

In some cases, batteries of this age may also have caused minor corrosion on the battery terminals. Because the package is still factory sealed, I cannot inspect or test the toy without opening the box and I have chosen to preserve its original sealed condition. For that reason, I cannot guarantee that the voice feature will work even after replacing the batteries.

There is certainly a possibility that it may work once new batteries are installed, but unfortunately, it cannot be guaranteed. This is a common condition with vintage, factory-sealed toy of this age. I'm not responsible for the internal condition of the battery compartment or the future battery life once the item is opened.
