Vtg 1968 Mattel Major Matt Mason Space Bubble 6345 Box + Figure With Wires (Read)

Up for sale is a fantastic, vintage 1968 Mattel Major Matt Mason "Space Bubble" vehicle set No. 6345, complete with the original illustrated box and a matching astronaut figure included as an added bonus! BONUS Major Matt Mason Figure: Original 1966 bendable figure. The original American Flag chest decal is 100% present and vibrant. Missing the removable space helmet.

I have deliberately left these areas unscrubbed to avoid using harsh chemical solvents that could degrade the 60-year-old rubber or strip the original black paint accents. Standard minor factory paint peeling is present on the shoulder/collar rings. Space Bubble Vehicle: Mechanically tested and working smoothly! The internal gyro-stabilizer seat system functions perfectly to keep the astronaut upright as the capsule rolls.

The clear canopy is structurally sound and free of cracks. Original Decals: Exceptional survival rate! All original paper and foil decals-including the external "7 SB" panels, interior control console grids, and the external gyro-dial gauges-are 100% present, vibrant, and unpeeled. White Towing Frame & Hitch: 100% complete and completely unbroken! No snapped clips, cracks, or stress fractures on the vertical support prongs or the trailer hitch hook. Original Box: Includes the highly sought-after original color-illustrated box with the main top lid still attached. The box art is remarkably vibrant. Shows heavy vintage wear including tears along the front rim edge, minor structural bowing, and missing side flap sections, but it makes a spectacular retro shelf backdrop. Please review all high-resolution photos carefully for the exact cosmetic condition, including close-ups of the remaining vintage dirt on the figure's legs. Don't miss out on adding this stellar piece of 1960s Space Race history to your collection!
